Remember When
This week Sarah our Marketing Coordinator wrote the Remember When editorial in The Hills Gazette, we thought we would share:-
On our Facebook page, one of the main things we love to post about is our local community and what is happening in and around Midland. This means a key part of my everyday duties is to research about Midland and its upcoming projects or events. Recently it has become easier and easier to find interesting content for our page with the Midland Oval Precinct, a bundle of coffee, take away and cafés opening (M E N U have amazing coffee!) and the new hospital – I am often spoilt for choice with what I can post. Midland really has a lot to be excited about and I have even found trendy Facebook pages with huge followings posting content about ways that Midland has become “cool.” As much as this is very exciting for Midland, I also love to reminisce about my memories of Midland when I was younger.
So today I thought I would talk about my favourite place in Midland when I was about five or six years old and that was McDonalds. McDonalds, you may ask, how can that be your favourite place in Midland when it’s located everywhere? Well Midland McDonalds was pretty unique at that time and this was because of the Douglas DC3 plane. Does everyone remember the plane? I remember having my own and attending multiple birthday parties there and it was pretty exciting for us to hang out in a plane on our birthdays. This plane signifies for me many memories of fun times spent with friends and family. It’s these type of memories that remind me that Midland was very cool, even before the redevelopment and these projects are just the icing on the cake.

We have had a huge support of following for our Remember When.We have spoken about various developments or memories from an array of different people. However we have lacked in feedback from the Millennial generation. With the ever changing face of Midland, if you were to even look back as little as a decade, there has been a significant amount of change. So I am calling upon anyone from the Millennial generation to email memories@realestateplus.com.au and send in some of your many memories about Midland as recent as five years ago. I am excited to hear what you have to share.
