Do you remember your last day at primary school? For some of us it was quite a while ago and for me 1972 was my last year at Guildford Primary School. I don’t know about you, but I find remembering what we did then pretty easy as most of the guys you grew up with were in the same class as you for seven years. High school you chop and change classes all the time but at primary school you really do get to know each other quite well. I caught up with a few old school buddies at the Rose and Crown Hotel some of which I have not seen for over twenty years since the last reunion back in 1997 at the Guildford Hotel.
One of the first questions was who is a grandparent? Now that was a bit different to the last time we caught up it was more around who was married and who had kids? I was chatting with my old neighbour Lina Fontana and she was telling me she has one daughter but four grandkids! I don’t have any grandkids yet but I have four daughters so could be a population explosion in my family very soon.
We spent a lovely couple of hours sharing memories and comparing a few pictures from the past and new
photos of each other’s families, was good day. At the end we said we will aim to catch again soon.
The last time it took twenty two years hopefully this time we will be a bit quicker otherwise we will all be great grandparents.
Thank you for everyone’s recent emails and calls in support of what we have produced here over the years. We think going forward we will list anything we get onto my company blog for others to share/see. Please send to email@example.com so we can share with everyone.
