Introducing Michelle!

This week we interview Michelle Schorer from our Plus Your Settlements team, who works as a conveyancer. In the office she is known as “Smiley” as she is one of the happiest people we know!

How long have you worked for Plus Your Settlements? 

14 months, started 13th April 2015

Briefly explain your role and what an average day in the office is for you? 

I am a conveyancer at Plus Your Settlements. As a conveyancer or settlement agent we complete the transaction of property from the Seller to the Buyer.

We prepare all legal documentation that is required to transfer the property over from the Seller to the Buyer.

We liaise with the real estate agents to confirm the conditions of the contract have been met when due.

We liaise with the finance broker or banker to confirm the monies required to effect the settlement are available on both the Seller or Buyers side.

An average day for myself would be completing what is due in my diary, following up with real estate agents and contacting banks and brokers, contacting the Sellers or Buyers to provide regular updates on how their settlement is progressing, processing and checking documents and assisting my Licensee where and when I can.
